Thanks to a collaboration with RomaTre and TreLab, we had a chance to invest on their research project ‘Be(er) Fresh’, which aims to guarantee the quality of craft beer all the way from the brewery to the glass. We are interested in developing a reliable platform that tracks product freshness.
To get things moving, our team recently participated in the official project kick-off meeting, hosted at the Eternal City Brewery, in Rome.
The meeting was attended by our CEO Mr. Sugawara and engineer Samuele Corti, TreLab researchers Riccardo Erriu, Professor Valerio Gatta, and Professor Edoardo Marcucci, along with representatives of ECB (Eternal City Brewing) and Birrificio Primo.
After a brief visit to the ECB facilities and presentations to confirm again the scope of the project, we’ve performed a workshop using our existing use cases, to check the compatibility with the idea of our ‘QMS TRACE’.
During the QA Session, we’ve engaged in a long discussion over the potentialities of the project, and the ideas/requirements of the beer producers, confirming that a suitable digital tool can make producer and consumer mental distance much closer; however, we cannot neglect the role of distributors.
We agreed that the one of the main scopes of the project is to specify the actual requirements that will bring value to the stakeholders, building on the information gathered from them. RomaTre will give us an official report of the first phase of the project, and we will commence working on it accordingly.
It was an interesting occasion to see the passionate stakeholders and at the same time to get our international visibilities to be introduced. We are looking forward hearing the next steps, Cheers!
